The very best design creations withstand the test of time; even if such designs lose their initial value for function, they are still kept afterwards for their unmatched aesthetic beauty or emotional contents; to give some examples are old cars, sculpture like products, original architecture etc. The ultimate aim of a designer is therefore to create a product that could be loved forever, something so beautiful and original that it is kept even without a function; i.e. a product that is art as well as engineering.
