Onur Cobanli explains:
Design directs creative thinking toward a particular purpose. Unlike free-form art, design must work within limits like budget, function, and user needs. Restrictions and boundaries shape and sharpen creative thinking during the design process. Good design finds inventive solutions that satisfy all these restrictions and requirements at once. You work within the limits of budget, materials, technology, cost and user needs to help shape which ideas are useful and possible. So if creativity is the universe, design is earth, where you can breathe comfortably.
